Rose of Jericho (Resurrection Plant)

Also called the Resurrection Plant, the Rose of Jericho has been revered for centuries as a living charm of renewal, luck, and sacred rebirth.

It curls into a dry, sleeping ball in the desert and unfurls again when touched by water, dying and returning, over and over again. Used in folk magick from North Africa to the Americas, it is placed in bowls of water to:

• Draw prosperity and open the way for new beginnings.
• Cleanse and protect the home or altar.
• Aid resurrection work, of spirit, fortune, or faith.

Each Rose has been ritually consecrated by the witches of Feralore for deeper magickal resonance.

*To Awaken the Rose:

• Place in a shallow bowl of cool water, roots downward.
• Within minutes it will begin to unfurl. Whisper your intention as it opens.
• Refresh the water every few days or whenever it clouds.
• When your working is complete, remove and allow it to dry completely, it will curl back into sleep, ready to be used again.
• Note: You can add a coin or piece of citrine to the water for prosperity or a pinch of salt for protection.
